The Graveside Service for Mrs. Mary Margaret McMillen, 91, of Enid will be Thursday, February 4,2016 at 10:00 A.M. in Memorial Park Cemetery with Reverend Andrew Long of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
She was born to William and Loleta Woodward Ellis on September 19,1924 in Louisville, Kentucky and passed from this life on Friday January 29, 2016 at Westchester Gardens Rehabilitation and Care in Clearwater, Florida.
On March 7,1944 she married John B. McMillen in Enid, Oklahoma. P.E.O. was an important part of her life. She enjoyed playing golf, cards and most of all spending time with her family. She was the past President of the Mental Health Association in Oklahoma, the Enid YWCA, Garfield Republican Women, PEO Chapter AQ in Enid and Chapter Q in Tampa, Florida. Mary Margaret was an active volunteer for many organizations throughout her lifetime including the Jr. Welfare League and St. Mary’s Women’s Auxiliary.
She is proceeded in death by both of her parents, and Husband John Booten McMillen
She is survived by her children; daughter, Rene’ McMillen Johnson and husband John Johnson of Dunedin, Florida, Son, Curtis Mcmillen and spouse Trevor Slom of Chicago, Illinois, Four Grandchildren; Zane Johnson, Curtis Johnson, Tane Rickey, and Sarah Johnson; five Great Grandchildren, Brother William Richard Ellis of Palm Springs California, and Niece and Nephew Richard and Kevin Ellis.
