Marion D'Wayne Austin

The Home Going Celebration of life services for Mr. Marion D’wayne Austin, 41, of Enid will be 11:00 A.M. Monday in the First Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Alfred Baldwin officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by our United States Marine Corp. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
He was born February 18, 1974 in Enid to Mr. Marion Austin, of Spokane Washington and “Momma” Joslyn Rochelle Petty and entered into Heaven January 26, 2016 in Enid.
He was raised and educated in Enid and graduated from Enid High School 1991. He attended Missouri Valley College before enlisting in the United States Marines. He served his country as a Field radio operator and served with distinction receiving the National Defense service medal the Meritorious Mast Certificate and the Good Conduct Medal. He was Honorably Discharged in 1998. He returned home to Enid with the loves of his life, and his two infant Daughters.
He worked for the Garfield County Juvenile Detention center for four years. He then worked as the program manager for Sequoia Enterprises in Enid and outlying areas where he used his gift with people to mentor and change the direction of countless young men and woman’s lives. He was a member of the First Missionary Baptist church and also attended North Garland Road Church of Christ.
He is survived by his Daughters Michon and Joslyn Austin of the home; His Mother “Momma” Joslyn Rochelle Petty and husband “P” Paul Petty; Brother Phillip and wife Georgiann Austin; Sister Michon Edwards and husband Travis and numerous loving Cousins, Aunties, Uncles, extended family and beloved friends.
Memorials may be made in his name to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation for his Corrinne with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds. Condolences may be made to the family online at WWW.Brown-Cummings.com
