Mark Allen Shiplet

The Visitation for family and friends celebrating the life of Mark Allen Shiplet, 44, of Enid, will be held from 1:00 P.M. – 3:00P.M. Wednesday, January 20, 2016 in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel, cremation will follow. Services and complete care cremation are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
He was born to Darrel and Janice Shiplet, September 7, 1971 in Enid and passed from this life on Saturday January 16, 2016 at home with his wife by his side.
He was raised and educated in Enid graduating from Enid High School in 1989. After school he moved to Wichita KS. and worked construction for a few years before returning to Enid.
He worked as a cook at Vance Air Force Base and later at the Flamingo before working for Atwood’s Home and Ranch as a fork lift operator.
He married the love of his life Le Ann Rider June 18, 2010 in Enid.
He continued his dedicated work for Atwood’s until he was medically unable.
Along with his wife he was an avid motorcyclist. He also enjoyed fishing, going to concerts and watching his Green Bay Packers.
He dearly loved his dogs Chief, Holly, Sammy and Tucker.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mark Allen Shiplet, of the home, and Brother Stephen of Stockton California.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
