The funeral services celebrating the life of Virginia L Maynard, 64, of Enid will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday November 7, 2016 in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home chapel with Kim Giles of the Bethany United Methodist Church Officiating, cremation will follow. Funeral services and complete Cremation Care are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
She was born to Clarence and Lola Cowherd June 2, 1952 in Enid and passed from this life October 28, 2016 in Enid, surrounded by her loved ones and friends. She was raised on her family’s farm just outside of Medford. She Graduated from Pond Creek High School in 1970.
She married David Maynard in 1974 and from this union came their five children.
She worked as a Dietary Aid at several local Nursing Homes and as the cashier at Burger King.
She loved to be around people, decorating for the holidays and she always put her children first.
She is survived by her children; Christine of Enid, Lee of Enid, Shelley of Penn. And Scott of Tilton OK.;
Grand Children, Zada, Zahara and Anthony; Nieces, Robin and Sue Ann and numerous great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her son Casey, brother Neil and niece Kelly.
