The services celebrating the life of Barbara J. Campbell, 76, of Enid will be held 11:00A.M. Monday January 30, 2017 in the Central Christian Church with Reverend Dr. Jarrett Banks officiating and Reverend Shannon Speidel Co-officiating. Services and complete cremation care are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
She was born to Albert and Ruth Pillsbury Dawson June 17, 1940 in Devils Lake, North Dakota and passed from this life January 25, 2017 in Enid.
She was raised and educated in Devils Lake graduating from high school in 1958. She then attended McAlister college in St. Paul’s Minnesota graduating with a bachelor’s of science in Medical Technology.
She moved to Bartlesville and worked as a medical tech for Jane Phillips. She married Stanley Campbell, her husband of over 50 years August 6, 1966 in Bartlesville. The couple moved to Tulsa where she worked for St. Francis Hospital for three years. The Couple then moved to Enid where they made their home. She was employed by Bass Hospital in medical technology for over 33 years, retiring in 1999.
She was a long time member of the Christian Church of the Covenant and a current member of Central Christian Church. She was a master gardener and had a passion for flowers and antiques. She had a boundless love for all of her pets through the years especially Crosby and Dundee. She was a longtime volunteer at the Free Medical Clinic in Enid and also provided care on mission trips.
She is survived by her husband of the home, Daughter; Kristin and husband Don W. Nunley of Enid and one very adored Grandson Henry of Enid.
Memorials may be made in her name to the Alzheimer’s association or to the Hospice Circle of Love with Brown-Cummings Serving as custodians of the funds.
