The funeral services celebrating the life of Dale E. Holle will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday in the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with Pastor Kenneth Wade officiating. Graveside services will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Military Honors will be conducted by the United States Army. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
Dale was born to Ernest and Martha Helberg Holle May 22, 1932 in Fairmont, Oklahoma and passed from this life March 1, 2017 in Enid.
He was raised in Fairmont where he was baptized and confirmed in the Zion Lutheran Church. He attended Fairmont Lutheran School through the eighth grade and graduated from Garber High School in 1951. He then attended Phillips University. He Joined the United States Army in 1952 and served until he was Honorably discharged in 1955. He married his bride of over 57 years Joanne Osborne July 24, 1959. The couple made their home in Enid before moving to the Breckenridge farm in 1969. He was a Lab Tech for the Pillsbury plant. In 1982 they moved to Kemmerer, Wyoming and worked in the Maintenance Dept. of the Kemmerer school District later returning to live in Enid.
He was a lifelong Farmer, a longtime member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and a current member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. He was also a member of the American Legion, the Wyoming Retirement School Support Association and Ducks Unlimited. He also always enjoyed dancing with his Wife.
He is survived by his wife Joanne of the home, Son Scott and Wife Cecilia of Enid; Daughter, Sandy Bastin and husband Craig of Emporia Kansas; Grandson Noah Holle and his partner Michelle Hubbard and their two children Chloe and Amelie and Granddaughter Sophie Holle. He is also survived by his sister Arlene Dougherty. His brother Gordon Holle preceded him in death. Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to St. Paul’s School, Hospice Circle of Love and Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation Alzheimer Division.
