Benjamin Steel

The services celebrating the life of Mr. Benjamin Steel, 54, of Enid, will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday May 20, 2017 in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Michelle MCCarty officiating. Burial will follow at a later date in the McPherson cemetery in McPherson, Kansas. Services and complete cremation care are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

He was born March 13, 1963 in San Jose, California to Mr. Billy Jack and Mrs. Elva Hulse, and passed from this life on May 16, 2017 in Enid, Oklahoma.

He was raised and educated in Enid and graduated from Enid High School with the class of 1980. He attended O.T. Autry for two years following High School, learning about technical electronics. He then entered the oilfield and worked as a roughneck. He loved to play the drums, was a lover of music, had a passion for cooking, and was a gifted dancer.

He is survived by his girlfriend Tanya McCutcheon, daughters Valerie Hedges, and Vanessa Hedges; grandchildren Sicilei Hedges, and Jonas Chambers; brother Truman and wife Trina Steel;

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother William.
