The Memorial services celebrating and honoring the life of Bertha May Eckhardt, 78, of Enid will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday June 27, 2019 in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Gary Miller officiating. Services and complete cremation care are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

She was born September 27, 1940 in Hennessey, Oklahoma to Estell L. and Leona May Beebe Murray and passed from this life June 21, 2019 in Enid, Oklahoma surrounded by her loving family.

She was raised and educated in Hennessey, Oklahoma and then moved with her family to Enid. On February 02, 1956 she married George Lewis Eckhardt in Enid, Oklahoma. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting, and looking for the best garage sales. She worked for Emerick’s as a packer and could pack an entire room into a box, to the T. You could call her for anything at any time. She had the memory like an elephant. Most of all she loved her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Willems, sons, George Eckhardt Jr., and wife Allison, and Steve Eckhardt, brothers, Ross McCartney, and wife Donna and Darrell Murray, and wife Elaine, sister Estelline Morrow, multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and great-great-great-grandchildren, and stepbrothers, Kenneth Murray, and Ronnie Murray

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, son, daughter, and one stepbrother.

Memorials in her name may be to the American Heart Association with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
