The services celebrating and honoring the life of Betty Coreada Barnett, 83, of Enid, Oklahoma will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday February 25, 2020 in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel. Services and complete cremation care are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Betty Coreada Barnett passed away at 08:00 P.M. on Thursday February 20, 2020 in Enid, Oklahoma. She was born on February 10, 1937 in Liberal, Missouri to Rosa (Ferrell) and Floyd Engle. She graduated from La Junta High School (La Junta, Colorado) in 1955. After graduation she lived in several different states, returning to Oklahoma in 1974. She moved to Enid in 1981 then decided to move back to Colorado to be closer to her siblings in 2003. She lived there for almost fourteen years before moving back to Oklahoma, closer to her children in 2017. In January 2019, she moved into the Greenbrier Nursing Home where she was dearly loved by the whole staff. Betty professed to her faith at the age of 25 and spent the rest of her life serving her Heavenly Father. She worked for the Enid Regional Hospital and Advance Foods. She enjoyed sewing clothing and was known for her water color painting she did while in Colorado. She loved jigsaw puzzles, was an amazing baker, cake decorator and was known for making the World’s Best Cinnamon Rolls. Most of all she loved her family.

Betty is survived by her children, Reada Glenn and husband Roy, of Aline, OK., Kay Gilchrist, of Cherokee, OK., Steve Barnett and wife Karen, of Aline, OK., her grandchildren, Jimmie Glenn and wife Mary Beth, of Wichita, KS. Kayla Wayman and husband Dusty, of Aline, OK., Jesse Gilchrist and wife Kayla, of Alva, OK., Justin Gilchrist, of Wakita, OK., Kaylyn Robertson and husband Russell, of Hope, AR., Brandon Barnett and wife Misty, of Oklahoma City, OK., Caleb Barnett, of Oklahoma City, Jacob Barnett, of Wichita, KS., and twelve great grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, James Engle, of Pueblo, CO., and sisters, Margaret Ellen Gumke and husband Floyd, of Trinidad, CO., Maxine Engle, of Tennessee, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a large Family with Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Wilfred Kincade, and Kenneth Engle, her son-in-law, Melvin Gilchrist, and a son, Robert Hugh Barnett.

Betty was greatly loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Memorials in her name may be made to the Oklahoma Heart Association with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
