The private family memorial services celebrating and honoring the life of Betty Box, 96, of Enid, will be held privately in the Memorial Park Cemetery with Reverend Don Johnson officiating. Complete cremation care and services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings, A life celebration home.
Betty Nadine Box was born, August 17, 1928 and passed on April 12, 2025. She was the second child of Robert W. Coulson and Molly Eichman Coulson.
Betty was the only girl in a large extended Volga German family.
She attended Enid public schools and graduated with the class of 1945. After graduation she lived in Fairview, Oklahoma living with her Aunt and Uncle helping them with their IGA store. She attended OSU for a short time and then moved back to Enid.
In 1951 she met Second Lieutenant Moses Richard Box while he was a pilot in training at Vance Air Force Base in Enid, Oklahoma. She married the love of her life on December 30, 1951. After many military moves, they retired to Enid, Oklahoma.
Betty was an interior designer in the 1980’s and active in the First United Methodist Church and PEO Chapter DB.
She loved her home and family. She enjoyed many trips traveling with Richard.
Betty leaves behind her daughter Kathi Lee Box and many friends and family members.
She was preceded in death by Moses Richard Box, infant son Samuel, her Parents and brother Bobby.
Memorials may be made in her honor to Make a Film Foundation with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds.
