Brian Scott

June 5, 1977 — June 23, 2023

The service celebrating and honoring the life of Brian Scott will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday June 29, 2023 in the First United Methodist Church with Reverend Devin Krause officiating. Services and complete cremation care are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Brian was born June 5, 1977 to Donnie and Barbara Scott in Gainesville, Georgia and left his earthly body and returned to His Father June 23, 2023.

He was raised and educated in Marietta, GA. He became a talented trained chef and loved making delicious food for the people he loved. He loved experiencing new cultures through food; his favorite job was catering through Zoo Atlanta because it allowed him to research and execute menus from around the world to serve at special events. He came to Oklahoma with his family, Jennie, Edward, and Aline Scott. Although an Oklahoma transplant, he continued to root for the Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves, donning orange only after his son was accepted to OSU.  He was most at home near a grill, in a forest, or at the beach. He was generous to a fault and spent his life trying to spread acts of kindness. If you wish to honor him, leave an extravagant tip at your next meal, bring lunch to your local recycling center, or find another thoughtful way to bring joy to the people in your community.

Brian is survived by his children, Edward and Aline Scott, his parents, Barbara Scott and Donnie and Ann Scott, his brother Chris and Carrie Scott as well as his nephews Trevor and Brandon Scott.
