The funeral services celebrating and honoring the life of Carl K. Huff, 84, formerly of Enid, will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Damond Burpo officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery of Enid with full Military honors being conducted by the United States Navy.
Carl Keith Huff was born on March 11, 1933, in Hutchinson, Kansas, to Wiley and Mary Josephine (Byerley) Huff. He passed from this life on June 2, 2017, at his home in Oklahoma City. He was raised in Enid and attended Enid Schools. After serving in the Oklahoma National Guard, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Following his discharge, he worked for Union Equity for a time. He then worked as a barber at Vance Air Force Base for many years before retiring from Northrop Worldwide Aircraft Services in 1998.
He married the former Anna Schlegel on January 3, 1976, in Enid. He is survived by his wife Anna of the home and by three children: son David Wiley Huff and wife Kristie of Bixby, son Terry Wayne Travis of Enid, and daughter Deborah Ann Blakley and husband Patrick of Oklahoma City. He also leaves three grandchildren: Sydney Huff, Alexandria Courtney and Shawn Blakley and wife Bryoney. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was a member of the Moose Lodge, American Legion, Disable American Veterans, and was founder of the ROMEO Club (Retired Old Men Eating Out), an organization of retired Northrop employees.
Memorials may be made in his name to Disabled American Veterans (DAV) with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
