The Graveside services celebrating and honoring the life of Clayton, 96 of Enid will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday July 24, 2024, in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Cummings, A Life celebration Home.
Clayton was born to Peter and Paulin Eck Koehn August 20, 1927, on their family farm North of Meno. The family moved to west Texas for a short time but, after the death of his mother when he was only 6, the family moved back to Meno where he was raised and educated and attended Ringwood High School. He then enlisted in the United States Army serving in Panama. After he was honorably discharged, he returned to Meno and married Evelyn Jantzen September 2, 1950, in The First United Methodist Church, Enid.
He worked for Baker Manufacturing where he worked his way up from the bottom to assistant manager and then purchasing agent, retiring in 1989. After his retirement he enjoyed helping around his church, Grace Mennonite, where he also served as a trustee. He was also a passionate and naturally gifted guitarist. He practiced three hours a day until recently unable.
He is survived by three sons; Rick Koehn and wife LaVina of Enid, Randey Koehn and wife Denise of Valley Center, Kansas, and Ron Koehn and wife Pam of Enid, six grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and one Great Great granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his wife and both parents.
