The services celebrating and honoring the life of Clayton Nashawn Rowland, 17, of Enid, will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday April 21, 2025, in the Stride Bank Center. Burial will follow in the Enid Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings, A life celebration home.
Clayton was born February 21, 2008, to James and Natieya Rowland in Enid, Oklahoma and passed from this life April 10, 2025, in Enid, Oklahoma.
He was raised and educated in Enid attending Enid Public Schools. He was active in sports, starting as a very young boy playing baseball, basketball and football. He played baseball for Enid Plainsmen in 8th and 9th grade and last played running back for Enid High Plainsmen. His true passion was horses, he was to begin training this week to become a Ferrier. He enjoyed playing video games, especially Red Dead Dawn Redemption, because of the western theme, and Avatar. He most enjoyed spending time with his friends and just always being around people, he was a true “people person”.
He is survived by his parents James and Natieya Rowland and his sister Raedyn, of the home, his paternal grandparents John Rowland and Lelie Whiting and numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Terry Andrews, Roger Rice, Rick Whiting, and Michael Lingo, and Marcus Stricklin Rice.
Memorials may be made in his honor to Bennie’s Barn with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds.
