The Services Celebrating and honoring the life of Dan Montague, 67, of Enid 10:00 A.M. Monday July 20, 2020 in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Reverend Andrew Long of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. The funeral Services and complete cremation care are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
Dan was born August 9, 1952 to Manford Dell Montague and Berma (Jantz) Montague, and passed from this life July 2, 2020 in Enid, Oklahoma
He was raised and educated in Enid graduating from Enid High School in 1970. He then attended the Oklahoma University graduating with a Bachelor of Education in 1974. He became a State Licensed real-estate appraiser and worked as an appraiser for many years. He then began his career in teaching. He taught in the Waukomis Public School system. He then taught in the Enid Public Schools system from 2008 to 2015. He then taught “at risk” students at Sequoya, he then was the Academic Instructor at Job Corps. He enjoyed playing competitive pool and won or placed in many tournaments. He was a member of The First Presbyterian Church where he also served as a Deacon. He was also a member of The Moose Lodge.
He is survived by his companion Diana Fitzgerald, of the home; one daughter Lori Montague.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials may be made in his name to the First Presbyterian Church Saturday Manna Program with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodians of the funds.
