The services celebrating the life of Donna Warnock, 84, of Enid, will be held 10:00 A.M. She was born October 12, 1933 to William Don Slaughter and Marjorie Louella Slaughter in Gore, Ok. and passed from this life April 27, 2018 with her family by her side.

She was raised and educated in Gore where she was an exceptional student and basketball player.  She married Jay Gene Warnock June 4, 1950 in Enid. The couple moved to Wakita where she attended high school continuing to play basketball and graduated valedictorian in 1951.  In 1952 Gene was drafted into the Marine Corp which sent them to California for 18 months. After their first child was born and Gene completed his tour in Japan in the Marine Corp, they moved back to Oklahoma where they raised their five children.

Her Mary Kay story began in 1970 when her children were 17, 16, 9, 8, and 4. She was not searching for something to do in her spare time. She was searching for a way that she could still be herself, do all the things a multi-mom does, and still come up with enough cash to help all of them through college. After scheduling the kids school, church, little league, music lessons and dance activities, she found a few blank spots for her first bookings. She attended most of the kids sporting events. She did more business from the bleachers than anywhere else. While following Mary Kay belief of "God first, Family second and Career third." She was a very successful Mary Kay Consultant and in 1980 she became a Mary Kay Senior Sales Director. She and Gene raised and educated five successful children. In her 47 year career she set goals, had dreams and celebrated the success of others around her.

She was a very giving and compassionate person, and never asked for anything in return, except for a hug which she lived for. Both her children and her grandchildren can attest to her saying, “I live for hugs,” with a bright smile on her face and her arms held open. As a grandmother, she strove to instill in all her grandchildren a strong sense of optimism and an unshakeable self-love, which she knew was the key to their leading joyful and fulfilling lives.

She is survived by her five children; Joy Malone and husband Terry of Bartlesville, Larry Warnock of Tahlequah, Janell Warnock of Thornton Co., James Warnock and wife Robin of Ransom Canyon Tx. and Shelley Ryland and husband Rob of Oklahoma City, nine grandchildren;  Dr. Kristen Warnock of Edmond, Corey Warnock and great granddaughter Paris of Lubbock, TX. and great grandson Devin, Jarrod Warnock of Fort Worth, TX., Caitlin Lovett and Shannon Lovett of Thornton, CO., Christy (Cameron) Hedges and husband Jared and great granddaughter Ruby of Tulsa, Dr. Brent Cameron and wife Kristin and great grandson Asher of Nashville, TN, Madelyn Ryland and Collins Ryland of Oklahoma City.

She was preceded in death by her husband and love of her life for over 67 years, Gene Warnock; her parents and her sister, Mary Huffman.

Memorials may be made in her name to the Mary Kay foundation with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving at custodian of the funds.
