The services celebrating and honoring the life of Glorene Goble Clover, 84, of Enid, will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday June 28, 2018 in The Emmanuel Enid Church with Pastor Wade Burleson officiating, burial will follow in the Hawley Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
She was born April 26, 1934 to Raymond Goble and Hettie May Shawley Goble near Nash, Oklahoma and passed from this life June 24, 2018 in Enid, Oklahoma.
She was raised in the Nash area until moving to Enid with her mother as a teenager. She married the love of her life, Earl Bradford Clover in 1950 in Enid, Oklahoma where the couple made their home and she graduated from Enid High School one year later. She worked as a telephone operator for Champlin Refinery and retired in 1980. She enjoyed vacations, especially summer trips to Colorado with her family. She was known by the nickname “Tidey-Didey” because of her love of keeping everything neat and clean. She was a very active member of Emmanuel Baptist Church where she attended monthly church meetings and a group of her high school friends that called themselves the “Golden Girls”.
She is survived by her daughter Laura Peters and husband Nathan Peters, of Enid, six grandchildren, Kenna Kain, and Matilda Peters, of the home, Malanie Becker, of Guthrie, Oklahoma, Randy Becker, of Pflugerville, Texas, Andrea Parker, of Yakota Air Force Base in Japan, Desta Willson, of Nash; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 68 years Earl Bradford “Brad” Clover, one daughter Debra Becker; one son, Phillip Clover; her siblings and her parents.
Memorials may be given in her name to the Alzheimer’s Association with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
