Harlyn John Heasley

The services celebrating the life of Harlyn John “H.J.” Heasley, 38, formerly of Cherokee, will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 31, 2018  in the Waukomis Christian Church with Pastor David Jones officiating. Complete cremation care services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

He was born January 31, 1980 to John Russell Heasley and Brenna Fox Smith in Cherokee, Oklahoma and passed from this life on March 23, 2018 in Wichita Falls, Tx.

He was raised and educated in Cherokee, Oklahoma graduating from Cherokee High School in 1998. After graduating he moved to Honolulu, Hawaii and began working in the hospitality industry. He later moved Key West, Florida, Enid, Oklahoma, to Colorado Springs, Colorado and Owasso, Oklahoma and most recently moved to Wichita Falls, Texas continuing to work in the hospitality industry. He was a very social person and always enjoyed being around people.

He is survived by his father, John Heasley and wife Betsy, of Waukomis; his step-dad Jim Bill Smith, of Cherokee; one sister Amber Finley and family, of Broken Arrow; one brother, Brandon Long and family, of Alva; 2 step-sisters, Jenni Brown and Jaci Tolbert, and one step-brother, Cory, Honeyman, all of Enid,  his paternal grandparents, Nelda and Lynn Heasley, of Alva; and his Dog, Hyde, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; and his companion Misti Brown.

He was preceded in death by his mother Brenna Fox Smith, his maternal grandparents, Harry and Ann Fox, of Capron, Oklahoma.

Memorials may be made to the Enid SPCA with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
