The services celebrating and honoring the life of Hazel P. Meyer, of Waukomis will be held 10:00 A.M. Friday October 26, 2018 at the Waukomis United Methodist Church with Reverend John Hauser officiating and Pastor Carl Roberts assisting. Burial will follow in the Waukomis Cemetery. A Family Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Thursday October 25, 2018 in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
Hazel was born December 29, 1934 in Ringwood, OK. to Bennie and Mary Alice Williams and entered into heaven October 21, 2018 in Ingram, TX., while visiting relatives. She was a current resident of The Golden Oaks Village, in Enid, OK.
She was raised and educated in Ringwood and moved with her family to Enid at the age of seven. She worked at the Waukomis Daugherty’s Café and Skating Rink. She married Bobby Meyer on August 24, 1952 in Enid. She was a devoted mother and wife. After raising their children, she worked at J.C. Penny’s downtown and later sold Mary Kay for thirty-six years. She was a former member of the Waukomis United Methodist Church, and the last eighteen years she attended and worshiped at Grace Ministries of Enid. She was a woman of God and helped serve with Son Grace Music Ministries (SGMM) and traveled with the ministry for over twelve years, with Christian Recording Artist Filese Hauser, continually serving as GOD’S ARMOR BEARER.
She enjoyed sewing, baking, traveling and had a gift for poetry but, most of all she loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by sons, Jerry Meyer Sr. and David Meyer Sr. and his wife Debbie, daughters, Teresa Sissney and husband Raymond and Mary Meyer, nine grandchildren, Jerry Jr., James, Justin, David Jr., Michelle, Jon, Ashley, Suzanne, Amber and Leahton, 20 great grandchildren, and beloved Brother and Sister in Christ, Rev. John and Filese Hauser.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband of over 64 years.
In lieu of flowers Memorials in her name may be made to Son Grace Music Ministries (SGMM) or Grace Ministries Church with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
