The home going service celebrating the life of Jimmy Webster, 73, of Crescent, will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday April 25, 2018 in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel, with the Superintendent Reverend Norwood, officiating, cremation will follow. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
He was born April 30, 1944 to Jimmie Webster and Artie Lee Madison in Jones Burau, Louisiana, and passed from this life on April 15, 2018 in Crescent, Oklahoma.
He moved to Crescent, Oklahoma as a young child and attended Crescent Schools, he then joined the United States Army and served two terms in Vietnam. He married Gladys Lawrence in 1967 and from that union came three children. He worked in construction and later was a bus driver for ten years. He married Grace Webster on July 29, 1989. He returned home to Crescent in 2008. He enjoyed football, cars, playing dominoes, and loved his dogs.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Grace Webster; son, Valgene Webster; one daughter, Edith Jackson; his grandchildren, Antoine English, Shakara Webster, Anika Mcvay, Imari Webster; five great-grandchildren; two sisters and one brother.
He was preceded in death by one son Jimmie Webster III; one granddaughter, Shanika Webster; and two sisters.
