Joe was born in Enid Oklahoma on April 15, 1945 and was taken from us suddenly on Saturday December 22, 2018. He lived in many places in his youth until he joined the Navy in 1965. Joe was well known for his involvement in the SLTA and ADBA, as a sanctioned dog show and weight pull judge, For nearly 40 years he has been involved in his local dog club and dog clubs from afar. He was quite the dog man amongst his friends and a great mentor to all.
He will be remembered for being hardworking and running dog shows all while, being charming, unstressed and making sure everyone heard him. Everyone that has ever met Joe has a great story to tell about him. We will never forget his selflessness and willingness to help anyone, his customers, his family or at a dog show. Joe will be deeply missed by many and remembered by all.
He is survived by his four children: Jillian Schiszler and her husband Chris, Rebecca Hasson, Rodney Burford (Annette) and Tamara Brazelton; his 6 grandchildren; spouse of 31 years, Amy (Alex); sister Patricia Payne (Carl); and step sisters Illona and Ellie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elwanda (Curly) and Ben and sister, Terrie Burford
