Judith Heald

February 11, 1944 — January 21, 2022

The Christian funeral and burial of Judith Ann Heald, 77, of Okarche, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday January 27, 2022 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Okarche, with Reverend Doctor Chris Davis officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.  Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Enid, under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Judi was born February 11, 1944 in Enid, Oklahoma, to Walter and Amanda Frickenschmidt.  She was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church, Covington, Oklahoma.  She attended a one-room school house in Covington through the 7th grade and graduated from Covington High School in 1962.  She married Larry Heald on November 24, 1963, in the Fairview Methodist Church.  She attended Enid Business College and worked at Security National Bank for twelve years.  She was then a homemaker while raising her children.  She worked at the Okarche Grade School as the Secretary for over twenty-eight years.  She enjoyed gardening and was very neat about everything she did while always keeping an immaculate house.  She was a long-time member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Okarche and served on the altar-guild for many years.

Judi was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, and two brothers.

Judi is survived by her husband of fifty-eight years, Larry Heald of Okarche; son, Tony (Kristie) Heald of Okarche; identical twin daughters Gina (Richard) Smith of Hampstead, NC; Karrie (Chris) Davis of Park Rapids, MN; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.  She will be remembered and greatly missed.

Memorials may be made in her honor to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation Dementia Division, with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
