Kathryn Hopkins

The services celebrating and honoring the life of Kathryn Reeves Hopkins, 64, of Enid, will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday July 22, 2023, in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplin Gary Wilburn officiating, burial will follow in the Enid Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Kathryn was born November 26, 1958, to Joe Mack and Rita Mae Roberson Reeves in Woodland, California and passed from this life July 20, 2023, in Enid, Oklahoma.

She was raised and educated throughout the United States living in Kokomo, Indiana, Lexington, Tennessee and then moving to Enid, Oklahoma in 1975, graduating from Enid High School. She began working as a home health aid for Dr. Shields from 1975 – 1981 and went on to work for Unruh Trucking from 1981-1986. She worked as a Jailer and in 1989 began working for Oxford cleaners until moving to Dover in 1995. She returned to Enid in 2002 and attended Northern Oklahoma College graduating Sigma Cum Laude in 2005 with a degree in English Arts, during this time she also worked for the Census, she was always a very hard worker. She married Ray Hopkins May 10, 2005, in Branson, Missouri.  In 2017 she became an ordained minister and officiated the marriages of several family members. She enjoyed Bass fishing and writing poetry. There was nothing more important to her than her family, whom she loved dearly.

She is survived by her husband Jualeel “Ray” Hopkins III, of the home, daughters, Amanda Stroud and husband Benny and Jessica Welty and husband Shane, both of Enid, and Megan McClain and husband Tommy, of Tulsa; sons, Brian Chartier and wife Rachel, of Pond Creek and Christopher Hopkins, of Skiatook; twenty grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one daughter Alisha Hoos, her parents Joe and Rita Reeves; brothers, Steve, Don, and Robert Reeves; and one sister, Brenda Reeves.
