The memorial services celebrating and honoring the life of Letha Moore, 87, of Enid, will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday November 11, 2024, in the Community Bible Church with Pastor Bill Smith officiating. Complete cremation care and services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings, A life celebration home. 

Letha was born February 15, 1937, to Merrill and Clema Minton Roberts in Nobscot, Oklahoma and passed from this life November 1, 2024, in Enid, Oklahoma.

She was raised and educated in Nobscot, the railroad community, graduating from Oakwood High School with the class of 1955. She married Warren Ray Moore May 30, 1954, in Clinton, Oklahoma. She attended business college in Alexandra Louisiana while following her husband’s military service. The couple traveled to England, Louisiana, and Nebraska with her husband’s military career. When her husband retired in 1968 the couple moved to Perkins, Oklahoma. In 1970 she began working as Stillwater, Oklahoma’s first Meter Maid while her husband attended college at the Oklahoma State University. When her husband graduated in 1973 the family moved to Geneiva, Louisiana where she worked for the Kane County Court Clerk’s office. The couple then moved to Enid in 1976 where she worked as an Emergency Operator for the Enid Police Department for nearly twenty years. She enjoyed traveling the world and living the Air Force life, loved playing board games, basketball, softball, and bowling; she was an avid reader. She absolutely loved visiting with family and friends and adored her grandchildren, she was awarded “Fan of the Year” for attending all of her grandchildren events. She was a member of the Community Bible Church where she enjoyed the fellowship. 

She is survived by her husband Warren Moore, of the home, two daughters, Jacqueline Dunn and her husband Timothy, of Pawnee, Oklahoma and Kathleen Emerson, of Enid; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two sisters Dorothy Royalty of Faye, Oklahoma and Linda Hiatt, of Rush Springs, Oklahoma and her beloved aunt Charline Alexander, of Vermont, who was like a sister to her.

She was preceded in death by her parents Merrill and Clema Roberts; one sister, Nita Blood; and two brothers, Bud and John L. Roberts.

Memorials may be made in her honor to the Shriners Hospital for Children with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds.
