Saturday December 12, 2020 in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Brad Mendenhall officiating. Tika was born May 20, 1993 to Michelle Edwards and Gothie Barksdale in Colorado Springs. Martika joined the Ferguson family and was adopted by David and Effie Ferguson in 1999. She passed from this life November 29, 2020 in Enid, Oklahoma.

In Tika’s childhood she attended Payton Elementary School, Peyton, Colorado. Her bubbly personality was enjoyed by her school friends as she was a cheerleader at her school.  The Ferguson family moved to Enid, Oklahoma in 2004 Martika continued to uplift and entertain family and friends as she attended jazz dance at Longfellow Middle School. Tika and her sister Mykalah played violin at Longfellow and would often entertain the family by playing at family barbecues. She graduated from Enid High School with the class of 2011.

Martika was known for her joyful personality and brilliant smile. She loved to sing and dance and found comfort in music. These attributes are carried on in her son, Davonte James.  Many memories of the love and joy she shared with her son are in our hearts. Tika enjoyed taking Davonte to the park as well as sharing her love of music with her son.  They also shared a love of food and would often times be found in her mother’s kitchen eating honey buns, filling their bodies and their spirits.

She is survived by her parents David and Effie Ferguson, of Enid, her son Davonte Crumpler, of Enid. She also leaves behind her siblings Roger Ferguson and wife Heather, of Enid, Steven Ferguson, of Enid, Mykalah Stampley, of Enid, Maurice Motley, of Colorado Springs, Julius Ferguson and Ninoshka Ramirez, of Colorado Springs, Jessica and Miguel Guzman, of Elizabeth, Colorado, Michael Ferguson, of Sayre, and her grandmother Verna Pendergraft, of Enid, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
