Patricia Nickell

The Memorial services celebrating and honoring the life of Patricia “Patty” Nickell, 96, of Oklahoma City, formerly of Enid, will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday February 8, 2025, in the Brown-Cummings Chapel. Burial will follow at a later date in the Memorial Park Cemetery. 

Patty was born October 28, 1928, to Hiram and Corea Fox McKay in Enid, Oklahoma and passed from this life January 17, 2025, in Oklahoma City. 

She was raised and educated in Enid, graduating from Enid High School with the class of 1946. She married Peter Hronopulos in 1948. The couple raised their family in Enid. She worked at Fuqua Grain Co. as the bookkeeper for over twenty years. Peter passed in 1983. She later married Frank Nickell in 1990. She enjoyed playing bridge, cooking, gardening, and traveling, her travels included trips to Greece, the Florida Keys, and an Alaskan cruise. She had a very vibrant personality and always had a “Good Day”. 

She is survived by her children, Cathy Beam (Jackie), Mike Hronopulos (Marcie), Richard Hronopulos (Liz), John Hronopulos (Tommi); four grandchildren, Jeremy Brown, Andrew Beam, Nathan Beam, Mercury Frisk; several great grandchildren; and two special nieces, Mary Lee and Shela Brandt. 

She was preceded in death by her first husband Peter Hronopulos; her second husband, Frank Nickell; her brother Richard McKay; and sister Marilyn Long (Jim). 

Memorials may be given in her honor to Choice Hospice or the SPCA with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds.
