The Graveside service celebrating and honoring the life of Mrs. Sandra Smith, 72, of Enid will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday April 12, 2018 in the Memorial Park Cemetery with Chaplain Gary Miller officiating. A family visitation will take place 5:00-7:00 P.M. Wednesday April 11, 2018 in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

She was born on October 27, 1945 to Johnny and Rosa Hawkins in Ada, Oklahoma, and passed from this life on April 8, 2018 in Enid, Oklahoma

She traveled with her family throughout the U.S. with her father’s work. At the age of sixteen, the family moved to Enid where she graduated from Enid High in 1963. She worked at the Navajo Drive-In where she met the love of her life, Delbert Smith. The couple married on September 16, 1963 and began their family. In 1982, she started working for Bud Peterson Farmers Insurance Office. She worked there for 22 years. She then worked at Advanced Foods until her retirement at the age of 66. She was an avid bowler and an avid Scuba-diver. She travelled throughout the Caribbean Islands and loved Thunder basketball.

She is survived by her husband, Delbert Smith, daughters; Cheryl and husband Steven Bukacek, Kim and husband Jason Gomez, and Terry and husband Jeremy Brown, brother; Johnny Hawkins, sister; Joyce Hawkins, 5 grandsons, 1 grandaughter, and 1 great grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother; David Hawkins.

Memorials may be made in her name to Hospice Circle of Love with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
