The memorial service honoring and celebrating the life of Sarah Ashley Harmon, 22, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, formerly of Enid, Oklahoma, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Boston Avenue United Methodist Church, Tulsa, Oklahoma. For the safety of all, masks are strongly suggested for those attending the service. Sarah Ashley Harmon was born February 23, 1999, in Enid, Oklahoma to Dale “Aaron” & Jennifer Beth (Redding)  Harmon. She unexpectedly passed from this life on December 24, 2021, in Cancun, Mexico of natural causes while on vacation with her family.

Sarah was raised in Enid and attended Chisholm Public Schools. From an early age, Sarah loved to dance, particularly ballet. She studied ballet locally at DanceWorks of Enid as well as all over the world, including the Royal Ballet School in London, England, American Academy of Ballet in New York, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Houston Ballet, Tulsa Ballet, and Oklahoma Arts Institute at Quartz Mountain. She graduated from Chisholm High School in 2017 as a Valedictorian of her class. Sarah then went on to attend the University of Tulsa where she was active in the Chi Omega sorority. She was passionate about spending her time with The Little Light House–a place for children with, as she would say, special abilities and served as a member of their Junior Board. Additionally, she served as a Habilitation Training Specialist with the Oklahoma Department of Human Services and cared for private families.

Sarah graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Speech-Language Pathology, a Minor in Deaf Education, and a Minor in Early Intervention in May 2021. She was proficient in American Sign Language and had just completed her first semester of graduate school studying Speech-Language Pathology with a 4.0 grade point average. While in graduate school, Sarah was a Graduate Assistant and worked in the Mary K. Chapman Speech and Hearing Clinic. She was a lifelong member of The First United Methodist Church in Enid. Sarah was engaged on July 31, 2021 to be married on November 19, 2022 to William “Riley” McNay. Sarah’s impact on those around her is indescribable, and she will be greatly missed by everyone whose path she crossed.

Sarah is survived by her Fiancé William “Riley” McNay; beloved French Bulldog Lilo; Mother Jennifer Beth (Redding) Harmon; Father Dale “Aaron” Harmon; Brother Michael “Tyler” Harmon; Grandmother Kathryn Aleene (Kampe) Redding; Grandfather Forest William Redding, Jr.; Grandmother Rita Kay (Waldron) Harmon; Great-Grandmother Vera Rose (Wilkins) Waldron; Father-in-Law to be William “Mark” McNay; Mother-in-Law to be Jennifer Arlene (Dye) McNay; and Sister-in-Law to be Anna Perry McNay. She is also survived by loving Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and countless lifelong friends.
