The Memorial service celebrating and honoring the life of Steven B. Gray, 67, of Oklahoma City, will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 26, 2025 in the Brown-Cummings Chapel. Cremation care and services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings, A Life Celebration Home.
Steven was born October 9, 1957 to Olen and Rosalyn Joy Gray in Stafford, Kansas and passed from this life April 13, 2025 in Yukon, Oklahoma with his daughter by his side. He was raised in Capron, Oklahoma and graduated from Burlington High School with the class of 1975. He went on to attend Oklahoma State University and earned a degree in Special Education. He then moved to Amarillo, Texas and pursued his degree in radiography and soon after, began his 35 year career at OU Health “taking pictures” where he made many friends that became more like family. He looked forward to retiring soon. He married Glenda Jean Akers Pierson January 16, 2009.He loved spending any time he could entertaining and loving on his grandkids. He spent many weekends working cattle at the family farm with his brother Tommy or attending OU football games with his brother Danny even though OSU was his favorite. He loved his chats with his baby sister Debbie. In his free time, he enjoyed working in his yard taking care of his flowers, doing anything outside, and traveling to Kentucky to visit Jocelyn and her family as often as he could.
He is survived by his wife Glenda Jean Akers Pierson Gray, one daughter, Jocelyn Gray (her mother Mary) and her husband Gary Seiavitch, grandchildren Karlee, Kason and Koralyn of Paducah, KY; his parents, Olen and Joy Gray of Capron, OK; his siblings: Danny (Cheryl) Gray of Enid, OK; Tommy (Shirley) Gray of Wellington, KS; and Debbie Gray of Capron, OK; Glenda’s daughters, Shelley and Miranda and Glenda’s grandchildren, McKinley, Callan, and Bayleigh; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his infant sister, Kathleen; nephews, Joshua and Jordan; and niece Jolene.
