Tammie Nelson

The Memorial services celebrating and honoring the life of Tammie Sue Nelson, 65, of Enid, will be held privately. Complete cremation care and services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings, A life celebration home. 

Tammie was born March 19, 1959, to Mike and Margie Caywood in Cherokee, Oklahoma, and passed from this life November 29, 2024, in Enid, Oklahoma.

She was raised and educated in Cherokee graduating from Cherokee High School. She married Paul Nelson, and from this union came two children, Matthew and Lauren. The couple moved to Charlotte, North Carolina and returned to Enid in 1997 to be near family. She worked as a hairstylist at Expressive Designs and was a seller through eBay. She loved to follow the Lord. She enjoyed gardening and absolutely loved being a grandmother. 

She is survived by her children, Lauren Nelson and Matthew Nelson; and wife Starr; six grandchildren; two brothers, Mikey and Ricky Caywood; and one sister Shelly Cunningham; and numerous other family members and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents Mike and Margie Caywood.
