The Memorials service celebrating and honoring the life of Ret. MSgt. Thomas Demont “TD” Harris will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday June 25, 2022, in the Stride Bank Center. Chaplain Corey Prothero and Lindsay D. Dally SFC(Ret.) USA officiating. Military Honors presented by the United States Air Force Honor Guard under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home. The family requests casual dress be worn. Men, please wear golf shorts and golf shirts. Private family burial will follow.

TD was born to Edward and Nancy (Miller) Harris on June 30, 1962, in Charlotte, North Carolina. He passed, joining his dad Edward in Heaven on June 8, 2022.

TD grew up in Mooresville, North Carolina (Lake Norman) with older brother, Steve, and later, little sister Allison completed the family. After graduating high school in 1980 TD joined the United States Air Force. (He spent twenty-one years in the United States Air Force before retiring as a Master Sargent in 2001. After retiring from the USAF TD dedicated nineteen years of Civil Service to Vance Air Force Base while employed by the 71st Operation Support Squadron as the Air Traffic Control Terminal Instrument Procedures Specialist.  His attention to detail and ability to flex new procedures helped to solidify VAFB as the Air Force’s number one pilot producing wing. His contributions directly contributed to numerous team and wing awards.

TD had two children, James (Jim) Harris and Jenna Harris. While living in Enid TD met and fell in love with Quannah. They made their home in Lahoma and Married on April 12, 2008. Through that union, TD gained two bonus children Miranda Rikli and Trey Rasco, he was blessed with two grandchildren Ziah Faw Faw and Kennedy Himes-Rasco, who loved him dearly, he was the best Papa to them.

TD is survived by his wife Quannah Harris, of the home, children, James (Jim) Harris and Jenna Harris, of Baytown, Texas, Miranda Rikli, and Trey Rasco, of Enid, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Ziah Faw Faw and Kennedy Himes-Rasco, of Enid, Mother Nancy Harris from Mt Ulla NC, Brother Steve and wife Gwendolyn Harris from Chesterfield, SC sister Allison husband Randell from Mt Ulla, NC Niece and Nephew Jillian and Ryan Clary from Mt Ulla, NC.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward, sister-in-law, Linda Harris, and mother-in-law Janie Anderson.

Memorials may be made in his honor to the Wounded Veterans of Oklahoma or 4 R Kids with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
